Principle
This system measures the flue gas emission according to the principle of ultraso-
nic propagation time difference. The ultrasonic sensor transmits waves in opposite dir-
ections to each other, then ultrasonic waves in the two directions produce a time diffe-
rence. The flow rate is calculated according to the difference.
The flow velocity measurement is related to the up-flow transmission time T1, th-
e backward flow transmission time T2,the length of the transmission path and the ang-
le between the smoke flow. It has nothing to do with temperature, pressure,compositi-
on of the flue gas.
According to the transmission speed of ultrasonic reflue gas, the temperature of
flue gas is calculated. Combined with the cross-sectional area of flue, the volume flow
rate of flue gas is calculated.
System composition
This system consists of two transmitters ( receivers) and control units.The control
unit is used for signal input and output, for calculating volume flow to reference condi-
tions and for rapid processing via LC display.
Installation of transmitter ( receiver ) unit
1. Two-side installation: two transmitter (receiver) units are installed on either side
of the flue at a specific angle to the direction of the gas flow.
2. Single side installation: only one transmitter(receiver) is installed on the flue at
a specific angle to the direction of the gas flow.
